During the Event

During the event registration process, an attendee will be asked if he or she will be taking part in the event auctions. If affirmative, attendee will provide a credit card for purchases and will choose a bidder name — his or her own name or something easily remembered. Registered bidders are offered a BidPal handheld device, which is used to view item information and to place bids.

As new, higher bids are placed, previous bidders will be notified via the device that they have been outbid and will be prompted to place new bids wirelessly. This precludes the need to re-visit the auction item area, resulting in more bids and greater auction proceeds.

Should bidders choose not to carry a BidPal device, they can use strategically placed bidding kiosks that are activated via their usernames.

Bidding via the Internet

All BidPal supported events are linked via the BidPal Network web site, as desired by event organizers. Individuals worldwide may access event auction items in real time, bidding just as if they were in attendance. Event organizers may charge a fee for participation, driving increased event and auction revenues.

There are numerous other features of the BidPal Network, for both event attendees and event management.
