Job Summary

BidPal network is looking for a college junior or senior to assist in product development to meet scheduled product release cycles through the delivery of new features.  The individual will gain firsthand experience in the software development life cycle and the opportunity to learn many best-practices while delivering quality work.

Duties:

• Develop new features and solve critical defects in BidPal’s primary application.

• Estimate the time of delivery for each assignment and work to complete them in the agreed timeframe.

• Identify new enhancements in the product and record them for future consideration.

• Assist in the design of new applications and solutions to larger challenges.

• Perform code reviews with other developers

• Improve the software development process.

 

Interpersonal Skills:

• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to help with a variety of tasks

Desired Qualifications:

• 1 year of J2EE web-tier development experience (JSP, Servlets, AJAX, JSON, JDBC)
• MySql, UNIX, Windows

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL
• Knowledge of the Java Servlet life cycle
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly through indepenent research
• Strong debugging skills and techniques
• Ability to communicate with other departments to gather necessary requirements

Compensation:

$10/hr
