Position Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for defining, designing and documenting quality software features to the applications that encompass BidPal’s technology products. The Business Analyst is expected to work well in an Agile-Scrum team environment to deliver superior products. Candidates will be based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Essential Job Functions
- Participate in planning, design and estimation of user stories
- Engage with other departments to obtain best possible requirements for each user story
- Coordinate with other members of the Scrum team (Software Engineers, QA Analysts, Product owner, etc.) to ensure value-added product releases
- Document the changes made to the application suite as they are developed
- Consult with beta customers and act as liaison during the development cycle
- Review delivered work from the user perspective and counsel Product Owner on acceptance decisions
- Adopt and embrace the Scrum methodology and participate in all phases of its iterative process
Other Requirements
- 2-5 years experience as a software development team member
- Capability to interpret customer needs and translate them to application requirements
- Strong collaborative skills
- Dedication to obtain strong, detailed knowledge of BidPal’s product offering
- Willingness to help others achieve their goals through excellent written and oral skills
- Self-motivated work mentality
- Excited about a small team environment
- Travel to events to gain product knowledge when needed (less than 1 weekend per month on average)
Preferred
- Willingness to conduct research of markets and act as the point-of-contact during beta testing in the field
- Technical experience with programming, database development/administration, software quality assurance, and/or technical writing
- Interest (or experience) in maintaining integrations with popular platforms including SalesForce.com, SMS, and Jasper Reports

Education & Eligibility Requirements
- B.S. in a 4-year degree program. Preferred Business or Technology degree.
- Authorized to work in the United States
