Scott Webber, Chairman & CEO
In his 30 years in the technology industry, Mr. Webber has successfully guided companies from inception to maturity. Most recently, Mr. Webber has been an investor and mentor to young Indiana technology companies. He currently serves as the Chairman & CEO of Volatus Advisors, an investment and advisory vehicle for young companies. Successful investments include Performance Assessment Network, which was launched out of the VTG incubator, and Autobase, where Webber also served as Chairman & CEO.Previously, Mr. Webber served as Chief Executive of Corepoint Technologies, a global IBM software company, where he increased flat revenues by 60% in a period of eight months. As President and CEO of Software Artistry, Inc., he led the company to the first successful software IPO in the state, and later to an acquisition by Tivoli Systems, an IBM company. Webber also spent 10 years at Pansophic Systems, Inc.; a software company that grew from a $30 million privately held company to a $230 million publicly traded company during his tenure. Mr. Webber holds a Masters of Management from Northwestern University and a BA degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada.
Kevin Boyne
As Chief Operating Officer for UUNET, Mr. Boyne was responsible for the global delivery of UUNET’s services, including the high-capacity backbone network, customer leased lines, the dial access networks, data center operations, capacity planning and procurement, network expansion, platform technology architecture and product engineering, new customer installation, sustaining customer care and all IT functions. Prior to joining UUNET, Mr. Boyne was the Director of UNIX Engineering at GE Information Services (GEIS), responsible for developing and implementing a UNIX architectural framework to support the migration of GEIS’ strategic focus of providing electronic commerce business solutions to the Global Fortune 500 from a traditional mainframe platform to a more cost effective technology.
Mr. Boyne currently also serves on the Board of Managers of Ontario Systems LLC and the Advisory Board of NuVo Technologies Inc. Boyne received a B.S. in Mathematics in 1974, and an M.S. in Computer and Information Science in 1976 from The Ohio State University.
Don Aquilano
Don has held a variety of high tech operating and strategy roles during his career at Hewlett-Packard’s Circuit Technology Group, the Boston Consulting Group, and Diageo. Don also co-founded two small software companies during this period.
Subsequently, Don chose to translate his experience into the field of early stage technology investing. His venture capital experience spans 12 years across three related funds: Gazelle TechVentures, Blue Chip Venture Company and now Allos Ventures.
Don serves on the advisory boards for Indiana University’s School of Informatics and Computing, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centers for IU and Ball State, and has taught Entrepreneurship capstone courses at Purdue University and Indiana University. Don received his B.S. degree in Operations Management from the University of Arizona and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Kirk Wolfe
Kirk is a Partner with MK Capital. Kirk focuses on the digital media sector with a specific emphasis on mobile internet and IP video investment opportunities. Prior to joining MK Capital, he spent considerable time in management roles for leading technology companies, including co-founding an open source software business. Kirk served as a field operations executive at Ariba, Inc. – a global provider of Enterprise Spend Management solutions. As an early stage Ariba employee, he was responsible for establishing and growing the field operations team. Before joining Ariba, Kirk led the construction of the first business-to-consumer online store at Motorola, Inc. Earlier in his career, he worked at Accenture serving clients in the telecommunications sector. Kirk also serves on the boards of HealthiNation and Kontiki. Kirk received his MBA from Stanford University and his Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
Chris Baggott
Over the course of his career, Chris Baggott has redefined what it means to be a marketer. After co-founding ExactTarget, one of the world’s most successful, publicly-traded email service providers, he saw an opportunity to branch out into content marketing. In 2007, Chris launched Compendium, the leading content marketing platform helping organizations capture and create original content in a branded hub for distribution to any marketing channel.
As a marketing futurist, Chris is frequently quoted in national business and marketing trade magazines, and speaks regularly on the topic of digital marketing at hundreds of venues. He is recognized as one of the most influential marketers by Invesp Consulting and BtoB Magazine. His blog was voted “Best Online Marketing Blog” by MarketingSherpa readers and “Best of the Web” by Forbes.
